Hi guys I am back from Heros. I arrived yesterday night nearly at 11. I enjoyed this camp. Made new friends, learnt from them shared my knowledge. First we reached to Hyderabad at 4 pm on 24 of may. Then from there we started to our destination nearly at 7 pm to Aga khan hostel. We reached at hostel at 8:30 and filled a form and took our dinner. Then the divided us into two age groups seniors and juniors. seniors from 16-19 and juniors 12-15. I was in juniors (my age is 14) They divided seniors into 4 groups of 11 and the next day they divided us into 8 groups of 11. We woke up at 4 am on the next day. There were 11 of us. And each group was give 1 facilitator (faci) for whole camp.
I want to mention our group members name, we were - Me (Shawez), Salman, Aftab, Ayan, Mahir, Zaenil, Faizan, Tanaz, Ishita, Iqra, Amrin. And our faci was Hussain sir.
Our strongest point was individual work and weakest was team work. Can any one could guess this, in a team teamwork is the weakest point?
First activity was knowing all names so we should use an adjective to our name and give the reason why we chose it. I chose sharp and gave the reason that I like to think critically. go deep in all maters etc.
second we were to use a ball of wool and say a name and throw the ball to him/her, then we were asked a question and we should answer it at the end the rope was connected to all then we learnt teamwork is the greatest for a team (which we didn't had.)
Our next activity was about thinking out of the box it was called I CAN. In it we were give a wood piece and a nail inserted on it and we should use another 12 nails. We should make stand all 12 nails on that nail. In this activity we showed team work which was amazing and last activity where we showed it. And we had some another activities using pen and paper where we should fill some forms like career planning etc time passed very slowly that day not only that day but every day and at night we filled our evaluation form and completed our first day.
The second day also we woke at 4 in the morning took our got freshen up and went to the hall there we recited our prayers and started second day started they already said us there were 3 games (and from this day my mood we totally spoiled) and we started from some pen & paper activities and when we took our breakfast we had some time to chat and at that time some of our friends went to our dom and saw the adventure activities and shared with me.We were excited to perform our adventure activities (which were rappelling and free fall). Then after break fast we again did some pen & paper activities then our games started. First we played a game called stamping. In it we should stamp numbers from 1-50 in 1 min, 1 player should stamp paper 5 times and each player could not stamp 5 in a row like he could stamp 1 then 3 so on.
I already played this game, shared my strategy with my team and we all agreed to use that strategy and there was no acting leader selected but 1 boy was like leader who wasn't listening our at all so we were not a team and performed waste out of three matches we scored 2 in first 8 in second and 14 in third and we lost. When we sat and discussed where we lacked I said it was team work. We all agreed to my point and even many of us said that we are a team not a single person. he alone guided the team without listening to us. Even sir agreed to our point. Sir said that shawez knew more about the game so he could be leader for this game. And before this activity (I forgot to mention) we had another activity even.
I feel not to mention all the activities and mention only my special moments.
